Best time to travel:

Lying 4º south of the equator, the Seychelles is a year round destination however it is important to note that the islands do get rain all year round hence the lush green vegetation.

  • There is more chance of rain in November and December.
  • The driest months are August and September.
  • The hottest month is April but be prepared for humidity all year round

The 115 pristine islands that sparkle in the Indian Ocean, 1255 miles off the coast of Kenya, are one of the world’s greatest treasures. The Seychelles are the most unique islands with tropical vegetation, powder soft sand and smooth granite rocks soaring out of a cobalt ocean. Island hopping whether by boat, plane or helicopter gives one an opportunity to experience the islands diversity.  Each island has its own character, a timeless miniature world.  

Islands to visit include:

  • Mahe – this fertile granite island with verdant forests, soaring peaks and over 65 exquisite beaches enjoys a rich diversity of flora and fauna. Mahe is home to the famous Beau Vallon beach which discreetly features a range of beautiful, unobtrusive, hotels, guesthouses and villas.
  • Praslin – is home to the Vallee de Mai, UNESCO World Heritage Site, where the famous coco de mer palms grows wild in abundance. Seychelles second largest island is a 15 minute flight or 45 minute catamaran journey from Mahe.  As well as being home to one of Seychelles most beautiful beaches, Anse Lazio, Praslin features the only 18 hole champion golf course in the Seychelles.
  • La Digue – is the fourth largest island in the Seychelles. Easily accessible from Praslin, this island where traditional modes of transport such as bicycles and ox-carts still hold sway, offers authentic island style accommodation.
  • Alphonse – is a triangular coral atoll sheltered by the crystalline waters of a turquoise lagoon situated south-west of Mahe.  The island offers the best salt water fly- fishing in the world.
  • Bird – is the most northerly island of all the Seychelles. Surrounded by sparkling white beaches and crystal blue waters, this island offers a nature experience amid the gardens of an ancient coconut plantation, a bird sanctuary and nesting site for turtles as well as the home of the Esmeralda, the world’s largest tortoise.
  • Cerf – Mahe’s closest neighbour is renowned for the good swimming and snorkelling opportunities.
  • Chauve Souris – an intimate hideaway that blends seamlessly with its environment and provides a cocoon of tropical comforts suspended between granite rocks, turquoise Ocean and cerulean sky.
